Lyrics:
Well, nothin' ever happens /in this little town / unless you count the day /the WHOLE PLACE burned down / People were starin' /a hole in the sky / Hoping that cloud /would pass them by / But it swept through the middle /of their little town / In a hundred minutes flat /it burned PARADISE down

The wind blew hot /and charcoal black / Some got out /with just the CLOTHES on their back / Day sleepers had to be /shaken awake / No time to figure out /what to take / And the saddest thing of all/that happened then / was knowing I might /never SEE YOU again . . .

So I'm washin' dirty dishes every day / Chasin' down songs /B'fore they run away / Catch 'em in a strainer / Catch 'em in a sock / Say "Hi" to the neighbor/Just to get him to talk / But it’s different than it was / The whole world's different than it was / It’s different than it was . . .

You can say what you like / You can like what you say / You say you don't travel well / But what the hell  / when the wind blows, baby/you gonna travel anyway

So we hit the road/We hit the keys / We sleep and dream like refugees / In our own beds / In our own heads / Was it something we did / Or something we said? / 'Cause it's different than it was / ’The whole world is different than it was /
It's different than it was . . .

Songs keep spinnin'  / But they're not the same / 'Cause they're written ‘ / In the key of sudden change/And when the wind blows, baby / you gonna travel anyway

You can say what you like / You can like what you say / You say you don't travel well / But what the hell  / when the wind blows, baby/you gonna travel anyway

A captured moment in the months following the Valley Fire in northern California. So many from our sweet little community at Harbin Hot Springs were displaced by the fire. This song is for them. (2018) This now extends to Paradise, CA, which burned in the Camp Fire of November, 2018.

Young stick,
what makes you tick?
Signifyin,' always tryin'
To make the magic scene
They got people on highs here,
people on lows
Highs and lows
And everything in between . . .

I guess your angels really get a kick out of you
Nobody knows you, nobody owns you
Or cares what you do
So do it all! Do it now!
Do it from your heart!
'Cause you never ever look as good
As you do when you're falling . . .  falling apart
'Cause you never ever look as good
As you do when you're falling  . . .
