To Everyone in the Morning Meditation Group:
As most of you are probably aware by now, there are changes afoot for our morning meditations. I will be gone, starting May 9th. During this interim—May 9th - June 25th, I will not be leading the meditations. When I am back, I would like to meet with the group to discuss future possibilities.
It is my hope that you will continue to meet regularly to meditate. I see this as a natural step in the life of any group that has been together for as long as we have. From all indications, there is a core group that wants to continue meeting.
Things to know about this interim:
The Morning Meditations page on my website will have the link to the meditations;
The group Zoom meetings will continue at 10 am PST will continue Sundays - Fridays;
For the interim, Sandra has kindly offered to host the meetings, using her Zoom account. Thank you, Sandra!
Some requests from me:
Closed Group: During this interim, I ask that the group be closed to new members. Please take this time to meet among yourselves without worrying about accommodating newcomers. Find out how you operate as a group, un-directed by me.
If anyone new should ask about joining the morning meditations, please direct them to the online course in the drop-down menu on my website;
Please keep it simple. Meetings could be as simple as settling in, connecting to yourselves and the group field, and having a short meditation, followed by sharing.
Another possibility is to take on the lessons in the online course "When Energy Healing meets Meditation." (I realize you might not want to keep hearing me drone on and 0n, but it's a good course, and it's there to be used, if you like.)
As much as possible, please keep these meetings un-modality-bound and non-c0mmercial.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the nearly fourteen months we have spent together in our morning energy exercises and meditations. We have come a long way together. It has been a labor of love for me, and your appreciation and participation have made this totally worthwhile.
During the interim from May 9th to June 25th, I can be reached by email. My address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to contact me you have questions.
To conclude, here are some words from Ed Espe Brown, author of The Tassajara Bread Book:
"Bread makes itself, by your kindness, with your help, with imagination running through you, with dough under hand, you are breadmaking itself, which is why breadmaking is so fulfilling and rewarding.
"A recipe doesn’t belong to anyone. Given to me, I give it to you. Only a guide, only a skeletal framework. You must fill in the flesh according to your nature and desire. Your life, your love will bring these words into full creation. This cannot be taught. You already know. So please cook, love, feel, create."
Much love to you all!
